Privacy Policy
This policy describes what information we collect when you visit www.navada-edge-server.uk, why, and how to exercise your rights. We follow UK GDPR.
1. Data Controller
NAVADA, a sole-trader engineering practice run by Lee Akpareva, is the data controller. Contact: lee@navada.info.
2. What We Collect
2.1 Contact form
When you submit the contact form, we collect: your name, email, optional company, optional phone, the engagement tier you are interested in, and your message. This is stored for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.
2.2 Chat agent
Conversations with the on-site chat agent are processed by a third-party large language model provider (currently Anthropic). Conversation content is held briefly in transit and may be retained in operator logs for up to 30 days for service-quality and abuse-prevention purposes.
2.3 Server logs
Our edge proxy (Cloudflare) logs request metadata — IP address, user agent, request path, timestamp — for security and rate-limiting purposes. These logs are retained for up to 30 days.
2.4 Cookies
The Site does not set any tracking cookies. We use one session-storage entry to remember whether you have already seen the welcome modal in the current browser session. No third-party analytics cookies are set without your consent.
3. Lawful Basis
- Contact form: Article 6(1)(b) of UK GDPR — necessary for taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
- Chat agent and server logs: Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests of operating, securing, and improving the Site.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it with the following processors only as necessary:
- Cloudflare — edge network and security (US/EU);
- Anthropic — large language model inference for the chat agent (US);
- Microsoft Azure — workflow infrastructure (EU);
- Amazon Web Services — runtime infrastructure (UK);
- Snowflake — analytical data store (EU/US).
5. Retention
Contact-form submissions are retained while we are in active conversation with you, plus up to 24 months for follow-up. Chat conversations are retained up to 30 days. Server logs are retained up to 30 days.
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. You may also object to processing or request data portability. Email lee@navada.info with your request and we will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we have mishandled your data.
7. Security
The Site is served over TLS, fronted by Cloudflare. The contact-form database is held on a private mesh and not publicly addressable. Chat conversations are transmitted encrypted in transit.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
